NBC is reporting a disgruntled employee opened fire at the Empire State Building. Four possibly six people have been shot, no one fatal. The gunman was killed near the Empire State Building. This happened right after 9:00 am Fri August 24, 2012. Currently 34th street, 5th and 6th avenue is shut down being it is an active crime scene. NBC is reporting it does not appear to be a terror related threat. Others were injured and rushed to the hospital after a stampede shortly after the gunfire from people trying to get to exits. We will keep you updated as this story unfolds.
