It has always been said, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” and examples of that can be found here. But what happens when the script gets flip and the man is the one who becomes scorned? Well as punishment to his wife, a Swedish professor sliced off and ate his wife’s lips after she had asked him for a divorce just so “she would never kiss again.” The decision to eat his wife’s lip was made “spontaneously”, the 52-year-old researcher reportedly told investigators. Plans of killing himself also crossed his mind after there was an attack in May at their Stockholm home.
He said, “I didn’t want to kill her. I wanted her to suffer for the rest of her life for what she had done.” Prosecutors said the Iranian professor went into a jealous rage because she ‘repeatedly’ asked him for a divorce. He had finally reached the end of his rope when it was reported that his wife had returned home from a trip he believed she had taken with her new lover.
The story, as told by the professors to the prosecutors went like this. He said “’First, I took a knife, but it wasn’t sharp enough.Then I took out a scalpel that one uses in surgery.” The least he could’ve done was to sedate his wife (not that I’m encouraging this senseless behavior at all) but his wife was awake the whole entire time. His intent was to punish not kill her as he went on to state, “I took her lips and cut one off and ate it.”
At first he thought that by cutting her lip she would never be able to kiss again. But then he started to worry doctors may be able to reattach it and so he swallowed the flesh to stop that from happening.
Police had initially wanted to charge him for attempted murder since the assault was so brutal but the court have brought the charges down to aggravated assault. His trial began on July 3rd.
Can’t even believe to think up of a punishment for this man. For you to cut your wife’s lips off as punishment off an assumption in which you don’t even know whether it to be true or not is absolutely ridiculous. Love can make you do some strange and crazy things but I think he was just crazy from the beginning. It just took this situation to bring it out of him.
