Exactly one week ago, Bobby Brown got married to his longtime lover and manager, Alicia Etheredge in Honolulu Hawaii. These two have known each other for a while, even though Bobby’s marriage to Whitney Houston. After the two filed for divorce in 2007, it opened the door for them to reconnect again.

Most of Bobby’s friends and family attending the wedding included his kids, Landon, 23, La’Princia, 22, Bobby Jr., 19, and his young son with Etheredge: Cassius, 3. Bobbi Kristina did not attend because she was apparently too busy filming her upcoming TV reality show in New York. In addition to that, it is clear that the father/daughter relationship has not been a good one as of late following the death of Whitney Houston.

I feel there are faults from both sides of the table. From Bobbi’s standpoint, this is a time in her life that she needs her father the most. In her mind this marriage symbolizes Bobby’s moving on after a very short period of mourning. Any daughter in her position would probably be feeling some type of loneliness. B.K. (Bobbi Kristina) could have also been supportive of her father’s decision to re-marry, though the timing might seem inappropriate. Attending the wedding would lessen the attention focused on her and her family. Unless more attention is what she is aiming for, with her new show and all.
