After screaming out “Allahu Akbar,” which translates to “God is great” in Arabic, a German man had been seen on top of his roof earlier this week with a knife in one hand and his wife’s head in the other.

The 32 year old man, who is allegedly mentally ill, had beheaded his wife while the poor woman was still alive. Neighbors stated that they had been arguing shortly before this incident occurred.

According to neighbors, the reason for the argument was because the woman wanted to throw her husband out. But before she could get a chance, her husband unfortunately decapitated her head. Horrified witnesses looked on as they saw the man standing at the roof’s edge with his wife’s head in his hand, throwing it into the courtyard below afterwards.

The couple had six children altogether, ages 18 months to 13 years old, who were all found safely in the apartment after police arrived.
