On May 10, 2012, In Columbia County, FL woman reported the theft of expensive pieces of jewelry from her house.

She suspected that the person who stole the jewelry knew that she had it and that the woman was probably in her home for legitimate reasons on the day of the theft, according to a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office news release.

After launching an investigations, checking with jewelry stores and pawn shops, a detective located the stolen jewelry at a local Coin and Gold store. Luckily, the business owner still had the jewelry in his possession and told the detective that he had paid the suspect, Courtney Lynn Combs, $500.00 for the jewelry.

Surveillance camera help identify Courtney Lynn Combs, the jewelry was returned to the owner.
