Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and 27-year-old Priscilla Chan tied the knot at a small ceremony at his Palo Alto, California home.

Zuckerberg was able to surprise his girlfriend of 9 years with a ring, describe as a “very simple ruby” during Friday celebrations for Facebook going public on the stock market.

The ceremony took place in Zuckerberg’s backyard before fewer than 100 guests, who all thought they were there to celebrate Chan’s graduation.
