Leviticus 19:28 states: “You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves: I am the Lord.” This verse clearly did not stop this individual who not only has a number of tattoos, but the one tattoo that stands out the most is the word God in all capitals across her forehead. Of course this has sent a lot of Christian groups into an uproar and rightfully so.

Tattoos have been around as long as humanity has and everyone has their opinion on them. Some see it as art, others get it to honor a loved one or others get it just because it looks cool to them. Whatever your reason for having one or if you are contemplating of getting one, would you go as far as putting a tattoo on your face? Mike Tyson has done it and now Jamie Calloway, an Ohio native has followed his example however the difference between her and Mike is the choice of “art” she chose to display.
Jamie had been arrested and charged with stalking and in fact the only way authorities were even able identify her was due to the fact that she had “God” tattoo on her forehead. Yes, Jamie very smart thinking. Her whole reason for having this tattoo on her face? Well Jamie thinks of herself as “Jamie Godhead Platinum-Godologist of Godology.” Whatever that means.
Already she has multiple charges including possession, obstruction of justice, criminal damage, theft, domestic violence, and stalking. She is currently being held on a $10,000 bond but she will most likely not be released.
Although its her personal decision, a lot of people have taken light of the situation. For example one inmate’s mugshot has the phrase “God loves you” on his head while another one displaying a dollar bill across his throat. Mark Stine took to his Twitter account, stating “Do you think she is making her parents proud? Some great tattoo mugshots…got to see them!”
Yes, Jamie’s parents must be extremely proud of their daughter as are a lot of Christian religious groups everywhere. But honestly where does she think or how far in life does she feel she’s going to get with that tattoo on her forehead? More importantly how do you feel about one having God tattooed on their forehead? Act of blasphemy, cry for help, or just plain crazy?
She’s also an unknown YouTube personality, going by the alias “Jamie Godhead Platinum” and posting videos of herself ranting and displaying verses of the bible (see below).
