Egyptian men will soon legally be able to have sex with their dead wives for up to six hours after their death. The subject of this came to light last year when Zamzami Abdul Bari, a Moroccan cleric, said marriage remains valid even after death.

Egypt’s National Council for Women (NCW) has already called on Parliament to not adopt this law as it is clear the Islamist dominated Parliament is looking to set back women’s rights. Critics have criticized this law and popular TV host Jaber al-Qarmouty had this to say on his TV show. “This is unbelievable. It is a catastrophe to give the husband such a right! Has the Islamic trend reached that far? Is there really a draft law in this regard? Are there people thinking in this manner”.

Lawmakers are also prepared to approve a legislation that will allow girls as young as 14-years-old to marry. They are also seeking to eliminate a reform that allows women to divorce their husbands without interference from their spouses.

Spitters, in my opinion it’s sick to have sex with a corpse. Does anyone agree/disagree with me? Also, what do you think about these new laws Parliament are putting into place? Is it really setting back women’s rights? Leave your comment below!
