Re-branding Africa: this is the challenge that the Face2Face team have decided to take on and who else but them would not only rise to the challenge but do everything in their willpower to exceed it? March 30th into March 31st was a night that no one who was at Pranna Restaurant and Lounge in New York City would ever forget.
It would be the one year anniversary that Face2Face Africa would decided to unveil their magazine after successfully launching the online version last year. Gracing the cover of their first ever magazine is none other than the 3K brothers : Kwesi Boakye, Kofi Siriboe, and Kwame Boateng.
As one looked onto the projection screen which showed the background scenes of the K3 brothers’ photoshoot, it would seem as if all of us in the room were looking into ourselves. The vision, the execution and the finality of what can happen when a few group of dedicated young, talented individuals take matters into their own hands and change their destiny. That is exactly what Face2Face have done and will continue to do. It was a celebrity packed event as guests from all over the nation came and joined in on the celebration.
World renowned supermodel Miss Alek Wek was in the building, as well as other models from various competitions. Winner of Mr. Face of Africa Texas 2012 Michael Mabor Majok, Miss Black New Jersey 2012, Miss Guinea North America, Bintou Fofana, Miss Ghana USA 2011 2nd runner up Ellen Osei and countless other pageantry representatives all made an appearance.
Macdella Cooper, Founding Chair of the Macdella Cooper Foundation, AM clothing’s very own Kwadwo Bediako in addition to Emmanuel Bediako of E.E.A.B. Production were there also. Hino Ehikhamenor a.ka. Hollywood Hino later stopped by to join in the festivities. Other guests included Ghana Glam, 54 Kingdoms, Design by U and many, many many more professional young individuals all together in one room working towards 1 of Face2Face’s main goal: re-branding Africa.
Congratulations to Face2Face on such a successful launch. We all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and for anyone that missed this event, you missed out on a lot but don’t worry, we hope to have your presence in June for the F.A.C.E List Awards.
