Laura Chinchilla, President of Costa Rica – 53, Former vice president under Nobel laureate Oscar Arias Sánchez. A social conservative, she opposes gay marriage, abortion and the legalization of the morning-after pill. Laura manage to win 47% of the vote which was casted in February 2010 elections to be the first female president in Costa Rica.
