Only reason we love these reunion shows is for the bickering and the over the top hairstyles and attire. Imagine my surprise when I tuned into Love & Hip Hop’s: Reality Check versus a special reunion show. Reason for this; some cast members refused to be in the same room with their cast mates. If you can guess it, Chrissy refused to be in the same room with Yandy. Mama Jones did not want to be near Olivia and Erica and Kimbella could not be in the same area either, turning the “reunion show” into a special one-on-one interview with Executive Producer Mona Scott. Not to mention Chrissy refused to sit one-on-one with Mona and would only agree to be on TV if interviewed by her partner, Stefan Springman. (Whew! Hope you’re keeping up!) Here’s what happened during Reality Check!
We found out Juelz Santana was suppose to have a bigger part during the taping. However he stated filming with Kimbella was akward but agreed to film with Yandy and Jim. During the reunion special Kimbella stated they are committed to raising their kids but they are no longer together because he couldn’t “keep his di** in his pants”, she so eloquently stated.
Chrissy may not be back for season 3
An attempt to get more money or either she is really unhappy with Executive Producer Mona Scott! Chrissy is very upset with Mona because during taping she made it known several times she did not want to be in the same room with Yandy. After her engagement, Yandy and Chrissy was at the same club together and that’s when that explosive fight happened! (Isn’t this what happens when you sign up for a reality TV show with other people!?)
Olivia got a deal!
Olivia was also another cast member who was not happy at how she was portrayed on the show. She said her mother was very upset and that they do have a good relationship. (Sounds like she never admitted to her mother her true feelings and was upset she found out this way!) But, she did sign a deal, not with EMI, and also received more than $500,000.
Yandy and Jim did not have a past relationship
Rumors quickly circulated that Yandy and Jim Jones may have had a secret past and that’s why Chrissy has so much hatred towards her. However, Yandy nipped this in the bud during the special taping. Ensuring everyone that this is not accurate
Mama Jones is mad at Olivia for calling her Nancy
Yes, it’s as silly as it sounds. She said only close family and friends are allowed to call her Nancy. (Seriously!? Isn’t Nancy the name on her birth certificate?!) She is also upset about her 8 second clip of where Olivia makes fun of Mama Jones’s raspy voice. (If you noticed Chrissy is also laughing about her impression, is she mad at her too?)
Spin Off: Love & Hip Hop Hotlanta
Executive Producer, Mona Scott confirmed the spin-off during the special. Casting for the spin-off has not been finalized but it is rumored rapper Diamond, video model Summer Walker, rapper Rasheeda and exotic dancer Gigi Maguire is in talks to join the cast.
