Accra, Ghana West Africa — This sounds like something out of a movie but for a young boy in the suburb of La in Accra, this became a reality. According to the young boy, he was approached a man driving a gray Toyota Tundra yesterday when he was playing soccer with his friends. The man handed the young boy money and a container containing a snake, unbeknownst to him. He was then instructed for the container to be dropped off at a nearby garbage dump. But before the boy could reach the dumping site, the snake allegedly began talking in the Akan language, “Bue mi! Bue mi!!” translating “Let me out! Let me out!!” The poor boy of course became scared, instantly attracting attention to him.

According to one of the men at the scene described as “Soldierman” , the boy brought the container to him. At first they both thought that the voice was coming from a phone before they realized that neither of them had a phone and that it was actually coming from the snake. What makes this even more interesting is that the snake was said to have been vomiting pieces of Ghana cedi (money).

An alleged pastor arrived on the scene and prayed over the snake because there were too many different stories were being told about the incident. Some stated that the serpent was a human being and would turn back into a man, others had hoped that it would return back to its money-vomitting state. The pastor prayed endlessly but when it became obvious that the snake was going to remain as it was, he stopped and the situation got moved to the police station.

At the station, “Soldierman” was invited to relay his side of the story and with that came an unwanted audience. The crowd that had formed because of this incident didnt seem to want to leave the station, even as the police demanded to leave several times. By the time this story had come out, it was reported that the snake had started talking again.

Now interestingly enough royal pythons are favorites of jujumen or spiritualists in Ghana and are often used when people want spiritual intervention. Internet schemers or “sakawa” boys are famous for keeping such snakes in their possession upon their instructions of the spiritual masters.

Sounds crazy right? Well then lets get talking! How do you feel about this?
