Hey Spitters! What’s Fab! Fashion over everything is the motto we fashion lovers go by. However when do we go too far? The price we pay for fashion and beauty is infinite. As a matter of fact if you remember our past article on Anal bleaching, people will bleach their anus’ all in the name of whats in style even when the harmful risk factors are staring right at them. I mean lets be real here, we are all zombies for fashion, well most of us are, however ask yourselves where do you lay down your limits when it comes to the fashion world?
I’m sure most of you have heard of the growing trend known as circle lenses. For those of you who don’t know, these lenses have a bigger diameter in size covering more than just the iris giving you a doll-like look. So its no surprise that we’ve recently seen the Harajuku barbie herself none other than Nicki Minaj working it in her new video,”Stupid Hoe”.
The style was first introduced to Americans by makeup artist Michelle Fan in Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance video. Its funny to see Gaga bicker with the whole, “I did it first” speech. Tisk! Tisk! Gaga if you didn’t know, this fashion trend has been around for a while. Any one who’s into the Asian fashion trends such as Ulzzang, FZL or Gyaru caught up to the trend way before Gaga. It’s definitely fab I agree, but is it safe?
This trend has been introduced all over and even in the college campuses . It’s illegal to sell any non- prescribed lenses anywhere in the United States, yet these baby doll eyes are being sold all over the net.
According to Dr. Barry S. Eiden who is also the chairman of the American Optometric Association mentions using ill fitted lenses could deprive the eyes of oxygen leading to serious eye problems. Many are going back and forth on this. Asian sellers are of course defending their product saying its not harmful and also saying that American professionals are taking it way out of hand.
Hey, to each its own, no judgements here! However when fashion bumps head with your health I hope everyone is doing their proper research.
So Spitters do any of you own a pair? Share your review on it with us. If you don’t own a pair what’s your take?
