Its a cold world we live in, however it just got colder. Sunday, Domini, age 5 and her younger sister Dioni, age 3 were found stranded in the streets of Brooklyn abandoned by their mother.

“Mommy just left us on the sidewalk and drove away,” says Domini to a Daily news photographer shortly after they were found playing on a corner in Canarsie near the Bay View Houses. The girls were well bundled with winter coats and UGG boots each holding a pair of diapers. How heartless!

Police took over and ask the poor little girls about their mother and where they live. “We live in a blue house with flowers in front,” says Domini. Dioni, the younger sister hardly uttered a word but the older sister answered most of the questions mentioning that their mother drove a white car but didn’t know the model of the vehicle. They mentioned that their mother’s name is Dalisha and weren’t clear as to where they live. The girls were not crying when they were found however they were confused as to why their mother left them there all alone in the cold. Well we’re confused too. How could someone bring life into this world only to abandon them in such a way?

The police were previously alerted by a 911 call stating that 2 little girls were standing at a busy intersection of Shore Parkway and E. 102nd St. with cars zooming by. The girls were found walking up and down the street playing with each other.

The girls didn’t show any indications of child abuse but they were taken to the Brookdale University Hospital for further precautions. Monday, police arrested Dalisha Adams, age 26 from Glenwood Road in Brooklyn.

Obviously motherhood isn’t for you Dalisha however you had other options than to leave your babies in the streets vulnerable and open to incoming danger. My heart goes out to those little girls and pray that they will find loving caring people to look after them.

Spitters what do you have to say about this?
