So sad, North Carolina  man robs a bank for $1 in hope to obtain health care in Prison,

“… I say, ‘I’ll be sitting right over here, on the chair, waiting for the police,’” Richard James Verone told reporters.

The 59 year old, hand a note to the teller asking for a dollar and also claiming he had a gun. After the robbery he mad his escape by relaxing on a couch waithing for police to arrived.

Verone told reporters he has a growth in his chest, two ruptured disks and no job and hoped a three-year stint in prison would afford him the health care he needed.

Poor Verone was arrested and charge with larceny, even if he was to be convict ed the most he will do in prison is a year. Not enough to get treated sorry man.

Is very dishearten, for a person to go this far just for a simply health care in America.

While other countries like Canada give free health care to all citizens, don’t you thing we as a super nation is left behind?
