This story is a bit disturbing. Considering the individual involved in this whole ordeal is a pastor. Now granted, I’m not saying I’m perfect, FAR from it (after all God is still working on me). But when i come across a story such as this, it makes me question the person that’s leading the flock. How can you preach one thing and then take the path the devil wants to lead us?  Yes we all contradict ourselves many times throughout our daily lives where our words don’t back our actions but when you’re a pastor, I believe you’ve lost some right to use the excuse, “I’m human.” Yes we’re all human however when the calling of God was brought onto your life, you rendered some responsibility of that excuse. You may be human but how can one human lead another human to Christ if you’re both doing the same thing? That’s like the blind leading the blind. One of your purposes as a pastor is that you CHOSE to go against the world, do the word of God to your best ability by He who is in you that is greater than he who is the world and create a following for those who have yet to comprehend the meaning of God in their lives.  Now what do I mean by all this rambling?  Well bottom line is this: a Methodist pastor in Ghana has been exposed for this alter life as a pedophile.

Mr. Jacob Osei Owusu, a former school administrator at Calvary Methodist Educational Complex at Adjringanor-East Legon, in Accra apparently, might have been defiling students of the Calvary Methodist Preparatory and Vocational School since he joined the school in 2005.

His motive was to invite girls to his office and that of the headmistress, Grace Dadson, with the excuse of sending them on errands for an hour or two. Statements released to the school officials by four students between the ages of 13-15 disclosed how Mr. Owusu would place aphrodisiacs substances in the girls’ drinks and would offer them to the girls after sending them on the errand. He would then undress the girls in his office, sucks their breasts and after that forcefully insert himself in the vagina of the girls from behind.

Now if that wasn’t bad enough, what was worse is that although the school authorities were aware of the reports of Mr. Owusu’s sexual molestations, they did nothing to stop it. But on April 13, it was the end of it all for the pastor. Just before the school went on Easter holidays, he was locked up with a student in this office during class hours. The girl exposed Owusu’s sexual perversion, which ultimately lead the discovery of the other girls. In total, there were four girls who had been abused by Mr. Owusu. Owusu later on revealed to having sexually abuse two out of the four girls.

Not surprisingly, after getting caught, he went down on this knees, begged for forgiveness and blamed the devil as the cause of it all. After being caught, Owusu was believed to have ran to his 82-year-old uncle’s house however he was nowhere to be found. It’s believed that he may be somewhere in the Western region and is also being looked for in the Ashanti and greater Accra regions.

I truly don’t know what’s going on nowadays that everyone seems to be going completely crazy. Like I stated earlier, the blind can’t lead the blind. One is supposed to be able to go a pastor and confess that they’ve something like this, not the other way around. I mean we all sin daily, but there are a lot of lessons to be learned from this. After all it was said that in order for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. The fact that others were aware of his behavior and did nothing to stop it is what disturbs me most of all. How could you stand having someone’s daughter have her innocence and sanity taken away from her? What if it had been your daughter? But I can’t condemn someone’s actions for its not up to me to judge but honestly if it were you, what would you do?
